Boost Business Branding started in late 2007 as Virtually Capable Marketing. Soon, it morphed into my initials, DG Marketing (Denise Gabbard Marketing). Finally, I arrived at Boost Business Branding to better outline exactly what I do.

I went into business for myself during the height of the Great Recession. Because I was working for an Executive Recruiting agency at the time, the enormity of the economic crisis was apparent. I found that companies had dozens, often hundreds, of candidates for each and every opening they offered. Though I had thousands of candidates looking for work, businesses were unwilling to pay recruiters with such a bounty of candidates available. Obviously, it was a really rough time for so many people.
During this time, I spent more time writing marketing ads, cover letters, and resumes. This work was done to ferret out job openings and help my candidates get in the door for interviews. Eventually, this led me to start my business, where I initially continued to work on resumes and cover letters. However, I quickly found many companies also needed Professional Writers to help with everything from technical manuals, to classified advertising, to marketing pieces. The business need for writing has exploded since then, with every company in need of good content writing. Some do their own writing, but most simply don’t have the time or the desire to do so.
